Film documentary Project Status
Project Status: All filming of To Love & Achieve is complete. Twenty-eight hours of footage have been shot, logged and organized. Transcriptions have been made and a script is complete. The project is now ready for post-production editing. Director Rick Erwin has funded all aspects of the film including management, pre-production, production, post-production prep and material costs.
Objective: To form a relationship, and financial sponsorship with an individual or organization that promotes and encourages the spiritual roles people with disabilities play in the larger society. Through this collaborative relationship, we will work together to complete the film and develop a strategy for optimal viewership and distribution. The funds will enable my editing team to complete this moving documentary in a timely manner. I am seeking editing sponsorship of $35,000 to $50,000 to ensure all remaining phases of post-production editing are completed professionally into an edited digital master program. Our goal is to complete this one-hour documentary in 2009.
Desired Outcome:
Group screenings of the film throughout the US for developmentally disabled organization
s actively involved in understanding more on the subject.
Make available, through license agreement and or screening fee to cable TV, broadcast, digital DVD media distribution channels, web sites, public and private educational institutions, and mental health agencies as an education and awareness tool.
Develop a To Love & Achieve website in order to educate and foster an increased awareness of these types of programs.
Enter the film in U.S. and international film festivals.
